Journal Junk Kit 1

A New Kit for all you artful lovers!! This is a dreamy kit. Lots of cute pieces to make your own journal or postcard pages! I made this postcard with new images by TumblefishStudio's at DeviantScrap.com.
I made this piece in honor of my Aunt Cher and Cousin's daughter Alexis..both fighting cancer! I think of them each and every day! May God watch over them!

I was challenged to think of a "getting to know you art project" for my Girl Scouts. We have some new girls this year! So I found this really cute idea online..making a painting with words that describe "ME"..So being inspired by Danita Art (one of my favorites) I made this little sweetie on cardboard and I LOVE HER!!! I think I might be doing more like this!!

growing up!

My little girl is growing up! She now has braces.

Lack of Blogging!

I'm sorry to have to announce this on my blog. But my lack of blogging is due to a little girl who has grabbed at my heart! My cousin's little girl age 9 has been diagnosed with brain cancer. She had a brain tumor. They removed the tumor and then was diagnosed with brain cancer. She is a VERY brave little girl..she now fights cancer every day!  She is being treated in Chicago. She has to take 6 pills a day and also gets radiation 5 days a week. She's on week 3 of her treatment. She will be treated for cancer for 6 weeks..so she is already mid-way through! She is now starting to lose her hair and asking questions..questions about dying! It just breaks my heart that a little child has to endure this... also a mother, a father, and also a sister! They are a strong family with a super size loving bond. Please if you can..pray for this family and pray for Alexis!

TOFF: Pastel

I'm a bit slow with this post..but we've had some family medical issues. All is good so far..so that is GOOD! I wanted to add this post before the next theme is up and running. The theme this week is "pastel"..I had fun using the pink with yellow and green/blue..pastel  is always a fun theme to work with..reminds me of cotton candy!! I hope your day is a cotton candy day! Enjoy and always make ART.

On a Journey..to make pages!!

It's about time..I finally got the book "Wreck This Journal" and now I'm on a journey..to finish the book!! I want it all done and complete..with GOOD ARTY STUFF inside!! It should be fun-times!! Thank you for visiting my blog!! These are a few new pages I created.

Oh!! and if you are curious..the book "Wreck this Journal" is a journal book filled with lots of prompts. You must get creative and do what each page tells you to do!
