I don't have many technique's for backgrounds..I mostly just cut paper in squares or rectanglesink the edges and try to fit them like a puzzle..I always like to use my watercolor pencils to add color to the stamped images.
This is probably my fav. technique to create my backgrounds.

love the cute child and the wacky dog atc...thanks for visiting my blog today. You asked whether I was making a large quilt with my squares..I have made 8 so far and am probably going to make 12 then join them together and add a border..I am new to quilts and have several on the go at the moment so I dont get bored!!
